We started our third project which is learning to use perspective. I started working with two point perspective which is when you have two vanishing points off the paper on either side on your horizon line. This is helpful for drawing corners or edges of structure in three point perspective. I then learned how to use three point perspective. This is almost the same as two point perspective however u use a third point at the top of your paper hence the name three point perspective. Three point perspective enables the artist to capture the image (normally of a group of buildings because this is easiest) form either a worms eye perspective or a bird’s eye view. This is achieved by shifting the horizon line up or down to either the top or bottom of the artist page. The point of this assignment is to introduce us to different perspectives not just the commonly used one point perspective. It will also help us to see structures from a different point of view the final for this project will be a city scape of our own creation because we cannot go out and lay on the ground or go sky diving to get these views. This city must show an understanding of how to use the perspective and parrallelish lines.
